From leopard-dense Yala to the elephant gatherings of Minneriya, Sri Lanka offers some of the most rewarding wildlife encounters in Asia within a compact area. Our safaris are led by experienced trackers who understand animal behaviour and park terrain, maximising the chance of meaningful sightings rather than rushed drives. Birdwatchers are equally well served, with over four hundred recorded species across wetlands, forests and coastal lagoons. Activity level is low, typically conducted from open jeeps, though early starts are common; timing varies by park, with May to October best for elephants and February to July best for leopards.
